The Mason County Central School District will be sending out a Return-To-School Survey to our parents and students on Monday, August 3rd. We will be using this information to finalize our planning for the start of the school year that is to begin on September 8th. In the survey, we will ask your intentions for choosing a traditional face-to-face model or our newly developed Spartan Connected virtual/on-line option for the first trimester. The letter will be forwarded to our state leaders calling upon them to get our students back to school this fall. Mark your calendar. Student Property Pickup (Locker and Desk Items) is scheduled for Friday, June 5th from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm. This will be done through curbside pickup with staff delivering student items when you pull up to the building. Each building will be sending specific details in a notification tomorrow.

While we are not together physically, we can still raise awareness through action, thought and praise, for all the beautiful and unique people and families touched by autism. Your courage, patience, and advocacy continues to be influential in bridging gaps of misunderstanding and in providing hope and opportunity. Dear MCC School Family, we are putting the final pieces of our remote learning plan together and teachers are reaching out to their students to gather information that will help us implement the plan. We are also receiving requests from parents and students to come to school to get personal items. This is not allowed under the Governor's Executive Order 2020-35 Section III, B. When restrictions are lifted, we will organize pick up days for each building. Please understand that this is for the health and safety of all. Victory Early Childhood Center will be closed for all programming and child care beginning Monday, March 16th through April 5th. This is an effort to help mitigate the spread of the Coronavirus. If you need assistance during this time please call the center as I want to do everything possible to assist you during this closure time.
In the NEWS Feed there is a Coronavirus informational piece with links from the Health Department for accurate and timely updates. The Mason County Central School District is monitoring this closely and are receiving guidance from the Health Department. Please know that currently we are at low risk in the State of Michigan. The Mason County Central School District Buildings have been advised by law enforcement to be in Soft Lockdown status as a precautionary measure. There is no direct threat to any of our buildings or students. Inside the buildings is business as usual. We will keep you posted.
Victory Early Childhood Center is pleased to announce that Kelsie Marcus a past student herself of Victory has just won our drawing for a beautiful full sized quilt. Her son Kole is a preschool student at Victory this school year. We want to thank Becky Alway and Scottville Country Quilters for their support and talent behind the making of this handmade quilt. In addition, Lake Michigan Senior Living was drawn for a runner up handmade quilted table runner. This winning ticket was sold by Dahlia.

Mason County Central School Family - This is to let you know that your children are all safe at all our school buildings including Victory Early Childhood Center. Our school district was in contact with law enforcement and took all necessary steps to assure your child's safety until the suspect was apprehended.

Tonight all 4 MCC school buildings were honored with the MI HeartSafe Schools Award. A great team effort and a lot of hard work makes our school community a safer place. The Senior recipients of the 4-year HG Bacon Award are posted outside the office. These are students who have maintained a 3.33 gpa in each trimester for 4 years. The dinner for these students will be held on Wednesday, May 8th at Lincoln Hills Country Club. Letters have been mailed out to parents of these students – please make sure your parents RSVP by May 3rd. If you feel you should be on this list and you are not – please see Mrs. Cameron.
