Happy Labor Day Weekend to you all. This newsletter serves as a guide to you and your child for the first day of school and a refresher of the back-to-school letter that was sent two weeks ago.
The first day of the new school year is Tuesday, September 2nd. All MCC students, including CTE students, will report to MCC High School on that day. CTE students will begin CTE classes the very next day, Wednesday, September 3rd. Dual-Enrollment students who have scheduled classes at WSCC should go to their college classes and then report to MCC after class.
Our first day of school is on Tuesday, September 2nd is a half-day of school. Doors open at 8:15 am and class begins at 8:25 am. Students will report to their advisory class right away and wait for directions on class times and announcements. Please have the students look at their schedules to see which teacher’s advisory class they have. Students may also get breakfast as they enter the school. There will be no second-chance breakfast for the first week of school. Second-chance breakfast will be available starting the 2nd week of school. Dismissal for the first day will be at 11:30 am, and bag lunches will be available.

All fall sports have begun competitions (Volleyball, Football, Cross Country). The cross country team traveled to Manitowoc, WI, on the Badger for a meet this week and is returning Friday night.
Esports and drama department tryouts and auditions will begin the first week of school. Get ready to sign up!
The MCC Marching Band completed band camp at Camp Douglas and will be performing at our first home football game next Friday. “Motown” is the theme for the show this season.
If your child needs a paper schedule and did not pick one up this week, they should stop in the main office right away on the first day of school.
Welcome to all of our new students, foreign exchange students, and freshmen! Also, welcome to our new teachers: Mr. Riggs, Mrs. Tractor, Ms. Wise, and Mr. Parent.
Forms will be coming home. Please fill out these forms and have them returned to their advisor or the main office by the end of the first week of school.
