12/15/25
MCC Family,
We are finishing up the week and the year 2025 this week. It has been an excellent start to our school year, and we look forward to flipping the calendar to January and the year 2026.
Now that we are in the fourth week of our 2nd trimester, we have had a chance to examine how our students performed in the 1st trimester of the school year. At MCC High School, we track the Spartan Way 3A’s, just as mentioned in the last newsletter. The 3A’s are Attitude (behavior), Attendance, and Academics. We are pleased with our students’ performance in the first trimester, as every area had movement in a positive direction. Students here need to know that they have done a good job by showing up to school, focusing on their academics, and behaving properly. We are very proud of them, and we thank our teachers/advisors for tracking all of this with our students. As a result of this, 242 students qualified for our long-lunch Friday reward for the 2nd trimester.
Our last day of school before Christmas Break is this Friday, December 19th. This will be a full day of school for our students. The first day of school back with students is Tuesday, January 6th. Student Council has put together a list of dress-up days for this week to celebrate the season. We will also have a Christmas assembly with door prizes for students and a winter sports team recognition assembly on Friday. We will also honor our state Final Four Esports team!

Over 250 students received the Showing up is Job #1 Hot Cocoa reward we had on Monday, Nov. 17th.

We, at Mason County Central High School, wish all of our students and families the Merriest of Christmas and a Happy New Year. Please be safe during the holiday season. We will be very excited to see our students again in 2026!
