MCC Family,

We are now starting our 3rd and final trimester of this school year.  This is the busiest trimester of the school year as we finish up some activities and begin new ones, such as spring sports, prom, and graduation.  The building is a little emptier as some of our seniors have completed graduation requirements or have been able to reduce their schedules.

As we move along to the end of the school year, it is important to remember that we focus on our positive behavior program, The Spartan Way 3A’s (Attitude, Attendance, Academics).  Students who meet our thresholds for these three areas are rewarded with the ever-popular Long-Lunch Friday.  Remember to talk to your student about this and strive to get this reward.  Long-Lunch Friday is the most popular award at MCC!  We cannot stress the importance of regular attendance in school.  Make sure that students are attending unless they cannot be here due to big sickness.

Spring Break is upon us.  The dates for Spring Break are March 27th-April 6th.  Students will return on a Tuesday (March 6th) as the staff has a professional development day on Monday, March 5th.

Testing season is approaching as well.  After spring break, we will be putting out another newsletter, and we will be sending informational phone calls and messages with our testing schedule.  Here are our important dates for testing:

Thursday, April 9th- WinWork skills test (Juniors only)

Wednesday, April 15th-SAT/PSAT (Freshmen, sophomores, juniors)

Thursday, April 16th- MSTEP (Juniors only)
