Freshmen Orientation and Parent Meeting

For our incoming freshmen, we have an orientation as noted above.  This is very important not only for new freshmen to get their schedule, pictures, and locker assignments.  It is imperative that freshmen go through the orientation piece in order to be ready for the first day of school and the whole four years of the high school experience.  This is the same for parents of incoming freshmen.  Please attend the meeting for parents noted above to see the changes that we have made and be involved in your child’s education for the next four years.  Parent involvement and engagement are critical for your child’s success and a vibrant team-like high school experience for our kids.

Fall Sports and Marching Band

Fall sports practices have started this week.  If you do not have a current physical on file in the office or on Final Forms, you must have this to practice!  Marching Band camp is also set to begin.  If you have questions, email our band director, Mr. Schultz, at cschultz@mccschools.org.

Technology

Students and parents should make sure that their school-issued Chromebook and charger are ready to go for the first day of school.  This includes freshmen.  Students who are new to MCC will be issued Chromebooks upon arrival.

New Staff

We welcome new staff to our amazing group of educators at MCC.  Mr. Caleb Schultz is our new band director and has been hard at work all summer.   Miss Katerina Moore is our new ELA teacher and student who student taught at MCC last school year.  Mr. James Hobbs is our new Student Success Specialist.  Please welcome them and make them feel at home as you meet these great new faces in our building.

Have a great rest of your summer!

Stay safe and healthy, Spartans!
