Mason County Central Schools would like to remind families that there will be no school for students on Friday October 2nd as our staff will be participating in a Professional Development day. We hope you have a wonderful long weekend and we will see you back at school on Monday October 5th. A reminder to parents who have students who participated in cheer camp, they will be cheering to the crowd at Friday nights football game on October 2nd. Please have your students to Spartan Community field no later than 6:15.
💙 Just over $17,000 was raised on Friday through students' earnings, the bake sale, and t-shirt sale. This is so impressive for our small community.
💛 We had 569 people participate in the run/walk this year, which is over 200 more than participated last year. The Color Fun Run truly is a community event as people of all ages enjoy their colorful evening.
💙 We had 67 volunteers help with the event including MCC staff members, community members, and 18 volunteer firefighters from four different local departments. Thank you! We couldn't host this event without the shared time and energy of these terrific volunteers.
💛 Local businesses donated over $9,500 via both cash donations ($4,950) and by donating goods or services. Please see the list of sponsors below and be sure to thank them for supporting our Spartans.
We are incredibly grateful to everyone who helped to promote the event, cheered students on as they raised money, and congratulated them on a job well done. The monies raised will allow the PTC to fund K-5 field trips, new books for each student in March is Reading month, positive behavior supports, and more throughout the school year.

Fall Girls Rec Basketball practices will begin in November. Dear MCC Families,
We invite you to join us for our Title I Parent Night on Thursday, September 17 at 5:30 p.m. in the Upper Elementary Library.
Come learn more about what MCC offers our students through Title I, the supports and resources available, and how we work together to help every student learn, grow, and achieve.
Cody Jensen, Director of State and Federal Programs, will be there to share information and answer questions. Light snacks and school supplies will also be available.
The meeting will take place prior to the K–5 PTC meeting. We hope you can join us!

Grades Eligible: 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Students.
Location: MCC School Grounds (specific fields, track, gymnasium as designated by coach).
Dates: September 14th, 2026 to October 21st, 2026.
