
We had our Spirit Week kickoff and recognition assembly today. Recognizing all fall sports, marching band, ELA team, Esports, play cast and crew and the homecoming court on Pajama Day!









All the seasons are covered for our spirit week theme "Spartans Through the Seasons." It's a big week at MCC!!!

Government students in Mrs. O'Connor's class held a simulation debate on Federalism vs. Antifederalism. Students took on the roles of early American governmental officials in the discussion.

Our Juniors are attending the West Shore Community College college/career fair to explore post-secondary opportunities.





ELA teacher, Mrs. Rodriguez is excited to have 25 new book titles that are labeled and ready to be checked out of her classroom library. The books were obtained by DonorsChoose.


Great instructional tools being used by teachers and students in some 4th hour classes today. Literacy circles in College English, self portraits in Art, time management skills in Freshman Orientation and a Blooket review game on plate tectonics in Earth's Systems.

We congratulate MCC Alum, class of 1998, Chad Pleiness on his induction into the Central Michigan University Sports Hall of Fame. Chad played football, basketball and baseball at CMU and was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays. Congratulations, Chad! MCC is proud of you!


No pictures tonight but MCC varsity football got a tough 26-14 victory over Centreville tonight. Central goes to 3-1 and takes on Ravenna at home next Friday in Scottville. #victoryforMCC

MCC Game Knights is back and better than ever! We have over 250 games from over 90 different game companies! Loads of new cards, books, and adventures await! Our first meeting of the year will be Tuesday, September 24th. We meet right after school until 5pm in C2. Please note the NEW day and room. Tuesdays in C2. Roll for initiative and GAME ON!

Teachers Mrs. Gerhart and Ms. Moore presented to the WSESD Literacy Network today on silent sustained reading, including how our kids get books, the results that we are getting at MCC with our students reading, and also our celebrations! Way to go, Spartan ELA department!
