Central Cross-Country teams boarded the S.S. Badger this morning for the annual trip to cross Lake Michigan and compete in Wisconsin. Go, Spartans!

Big thanks to Aaron Hein of Jostens for presenting at our freshmen orientation today. Freshmen volunteers did an awesome job as well!

REMINDER: schedule pick up and pictures are Monday and Tuesday. Seniors – Monday 9:00am – 11:00am Freshmen – Monday1:00pm – 3:00pm (orientation) Juniors – Tuesday 9:00am – 11:00am Sophomores – Tuesday 1:00pm – 3:00pm Freshman Parent meeting Monday 7pm.

Cross-Country kicked off the season at the Benzie Central invitational over the weekend. Congratulations to Maylan Sanders and Addison Thorne who both medaled in the event.

Kicking off the 2024-2025 sports season with home volleyball. Varsity volleyball takes the match with a victory over Orchard View 3-1. Good start to the season for The Spartans!

MCC HS is launching a NEW esports team for this school year! We will have teams competing in both Mario Kart 8 and Smash Brothers Ultimate! Tryouts for team captains and team seating will be Wednesday and Thursday, August 28 and 29 from 3 to 5pm in room C2. Students only need to attend one tryout. There is a $10 per student activity fee for the team. This will help to offset our team jerseys and upkeep costs of the equipment for the team. We will be having a team fundraiser at Culver's on Monday, September 30th from 5-8pm. Tell your friends and family to come out and support the new team by having dinner at Culver's! Team members will be expected to attend for at least two hours of the event Help the team to level up!

The back to school letter for MCC High School has been mailed to you in the U.S. Mail. That version had a small typo. Please note that both Freshmen Orientation and the Freshman parent meeting are on Monday, August 26th. The times are all correct. The link below is the digital version of that letter. As we are all gearing up for another fantastic school year we would like to let families know about a couple of awesome events coming up. There will be 2 backpack giveaway events this year. One at the Ludington area Jaycee's mini golf on Wednesday August 14th and the other held at West Shore Bank in Scottville on Saturday August 31st. Good afternoon, We have some driver's training information for those interested and of age to register for driver's training. : Our August summer session will be held at our Scottville location, August 12th thru August 29th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m., Monday - Thursday, for Segment 1. We will host classes at Mason County Central in room C-2. Things to know before signing up: -The student must be 14 years and 8 months before the first day of class, if signing up for segment one. -The class fee for Segment 1 will be $400 -Students need to attend ALL classes. There is only one make-up day, August 30th. -If signing up for Segment 1, be prepared to drive after class and on the weekends to meet the Behind-the-Wheel requirements. Dear MCC School Family, A Mason County Group is seeking your input with a feasibility study regarding a Multi-Generational Community Center. The study wants your input regarding the best location and access for all; activities that the center would support; how it could be funded and more.
