Tonight, Mr Richert had his last awards banquet as a Forensics Coach after 34 years. After the banquet Forensics hosted “A Night of Champions” where they gave their final performances of the season in front of friends, family and Spartan Community members.





We had 30 people attend the last MCC ‘Family’ Game Knights of the year! different games were played and there were members teaching their parents how to play! Thank you to all of our sponsors! We will try to meet over the summer a couple of times. Roll for initiative and GAME ON!





Today, in Mr Weinert’s Botany Class, students had a unique adventure. They got to visit and walk on a bog, which holds 2 Michigan native carnivorous plants, the Pitcher Plant and Sundew. The students are basically walking over a lake on a floating mat of Sphagnum Moss.





Thanks to the Arrive Alive organization for brining their driving simulator to MCC today. Students experienced the effects and dangers of driving distracted and under the influence.

We honored our senior H.G. Bacon plaque award for academic excellence tonight. A fine banquet for a fine group of high academic achievers!


The Spanish 2B class celebrated Cinco De Mayo with vibrant enthusiasm, immersing themselves in the rich cultural heritage of Mexico! ¡Viva Mexico!

There will many sites and activities available for the whole family; such as free ice cream from the Mason County Dairy Farmers, free hot dogs from Lakeside Weiner Wagon and Sanders Meats of Custer, wagon rides, farm animals, WSESD Book Bus, and SO MUCH MORE! Please come on out to hear a wonderful musical treat on Thursday May 9th at 6pm as the Mason County Central Middle and High School Bands and Choir perform their Spring concert. Held at the A.O. Carlson Gymnasium in the High School.


Today, Mr Weinert’s Anatomy Class went to West Michigan Foot and Ankle to learn from Podiatrist Dr. Alexus Squires. The students rotated through a series of room where different treatments take place.





Botany students learning about the history of Maple Syrup at Kistlercrest Farms. They also learned the new ways they are harvesting and utilizing Maple Syrup in products in a variety of ways.





My WHB classes experienced the trenches yesterday and today!


Mr Weinert’s Botany Class finished a unit on Angiosperms (Flowering Plants). They went to Dave Wright’s Fruit Farm in Riverton Township and learned a how different fruit develops, how to thin fruit, how to tell if damaged from frost and the correct way to plant a fruit tree.





For the last week and a half students have been studying the cardiovascular system, and Mr. Weinert’s anatomy class. Today the students were able to identify structures that they had studied in pig and cow hearts.
