It’s a new school year and a new 4-H year! And what’s the best way that we can celebrate this momentous event? Why by solving puzzles and winning prizes, of course! Mason County 4-H is going to be hosting a virtual Scavenger Hunt that is open to all Mason County youth. You will be given a set of questions or “missions” to complete that will help you get to know your school and the teachers and staff that make your school great! Just for taking part, all participants will get a cool 4-H collapsible water bottle. Gotta stay hydrated during the school day! Each mission you complete will earn you points towards the grand prize, an Under Armor backpack filled with awesome 4-H swag. The second and third place finishers will also win some sweet 4-H swag.
To take part, participants will need access to a smartphone and their parent/guardian will have to help them set up a GooseChase profile.

Did you know that chocolate makes us feel better on a chemical level? I bet you didn’t know that edible chocolate was created completely by accident! Have you heard that over half of the cacao beans used to make chocolate come from one country? Well you can learn all about this and more at 4-H Chocolate Covered Clovers Day where we’ll explore the history, science, and current events surrounding chocolate. August 18, 2021 from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
