Please remember that all preschool children MUST be 4 years of age on or before September 1st, 2024. If your child will turn 4 years of age on or before December 1st, 2024 please still make an appointment to come see Ms. Angie.
GSRP Preschool parents will need to bring a copy of the child’s birth certificate and a copy of your 2023 W2’s, or other income verification such as check stubs
or completed 2023 income taxes.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8th; will be the annual MCC Community Agriculture Night held at our Upper Elementary parking lots from 5:30 until 7:30pm. There will many sites and activities available for the whole family; such as free ice cream from the Mason County Dairy Farmers, free hot dogs from Lakeside Weiner Wagon and Sanders Meats of Custer, wagon rides, farm animals, WSESD Book Bus, and SO MUCH MORE! Please come on out to hear a wonderful musical treat on Thursday May 9th at 6pm as the Mason County Central Middle and High School Bands and Choir perform their Spring concert. Held at the A.O. Carlson Gymnasium in the High School.

Dear MCC School Family,
We are currently experiencing some power outage issues on our Scottville Campus. The Upper Elementary, Middle School and High School have partial power while Scottville Elementary is currently without power. Plumbing is fully functional at all of the buildings. We will be finishing the school day at our normal departure times and will NOT be sending students home early. We have natural light or partial lighting to get through the rest of today and an excellent staff that will continue to take care of our students, your children. Stay Safe and Strong Spartans!!

Mothers Day Carnation Flower sale. Now through April 30th MCC Bands will be holding a Carnation Fundraiser. Show mom your appreciation this Mothers Day and order her some carnations. See flyer for pricing information. Flowers will be delivered to the students on Friday May 10th.
The Middle School PSAT grade 8 testing date is tomorrow. Please make sure your 8th grader is rested and ready to go with a charged computer.

Wow, what an AMAZING experience we had watching the eclipse yesterday! 🌞🌑It was so awesome to see our school community come together to witness something truly out of this world. Our eclipse glasses were out in full force, ensuring everyone had a safe and clear view of the eclipse. 🔭👓Let's keep exploring, learning, and marveling at the wonders of the universe together. 🌎🚀
Dear MCC Middle School Parents-
On April 8, portions of Eastern US and possible other areas will be along the path of a solar eclipse or have other solar eclipse experiences. This will be an experience that is supposed to occur during our regular school day afternoon and possible dismissal times. There will be some changes to the regularly scheduled instructional day and recesses. Our Middle School Students will not go outside for lunchtime and will board the bus with their glasses on.
While this is a rare and exciting phenomenon, it presents a risk of eye injury to everyone, especially children who may not understand the dangers of looking directly in the direction of the sun. Eclipse viewing glasses will be provided to students in Prek-8th grades at Mason County Central Schools.
With the proper precautions, we know that the wonder of an eclipse will be a source of great inspiration and knowledge for our students for years to come.
Today in Mrs. McCormick's social studies class the students were treated to an amazing piece of history. The American Battlefield trust lent genuine artifacts from the Civil War. Items that were lent include Replica Documents, Full size Bonnie Blue Flag, Actual Canister Shot, Fife.
West Shore Community College is pleased to offer Kids Summer Camps from June 10-August 15 for ages 4-9 and 9-15.
