Dear School Community,
As noted on our COVID-19 Dashboard, the morning of December 10, 2020 we learned about a School Associated Case of COVID-19 in a student in the Middle School. We are working closely with District Health Department #10 to identify Close Contacts of this School Associated Case. Any students or staff that have been identified as a close contact will be notified by the health department and/or Mason County Central Schools as a part of the COVID-19 investigation process. Please answer the phone if the health department or MCC Schools calls you, as a contact tracer may be trying to reach you with important information.
Thank you for understanding that, due to medical privacy laws, we are not able to release the name of the individual with COVID-19. We will continue to communicate changes and updates with you.
With your help, we believe we can maintain a safe environment while also providing quality education. If you have any questions, contact District Health Department #10 at 231-845-7381. Please note that we do NOT anticipate any close contacts and quarantines of MCC students or staff from this case.
To be thorough, we are working closely with West Shore ESD Administration and District Health Department #10 to identify Close Contacts of this School Associated Case.
While it is unlikely any MCC Middle School Students or Staff will be identified as a close contact, if so, they will be notified by the health department and/or Mason County Central Schools as a part of the COVID-19 investigation process. Please answer the phone if the health department or MCC Schools calls you, as a contact tracer may be trying to reach you with important information.

Happy Thanksgiving Spartan Families! Please have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.
Attention all Face to Face and Returning Spartan Connect Students:
Our schedules will be passed out on Monday Morning inside our grade level Pods. We will have staff assisting students to get to the correct Pods. We look forward to seeing some old faces back and new faces we haven't seen!
We have turkey's! If your family or an MCC family you know of is in need of a turkey, please contact MCC Middle School with the information and you will be contacted to arrange pick up. Happy holidays!

Just a reminder! T-shirt sale ends tomorrow, 11/20. Canned food drive ends Monday 11/23. We still need 500 donated food items for Mr. Dennis to get a pie in the face! The winning class will get a pizza party from Hungry Howie's!

Welcome back 7th grade! We are so happy to see you!
MS Comp Cheer team will be practicing in the MS Gym starting Monday after School until 5:30.
MS boys Basketball will practice at the Upper Elementary gym starting Monday right after school.
Competitive cheer sign ups are taking place now at MCC MS! The sign up sheet is in the office. Students must have a physical on file in the office and the first practice will be November 9th.

A canned food drive is taking place now at MCC MS! The Advisory class that collects the most non-perishable food items will win a pizza party! Items will be donated to local families in need so send in your items as soon as possible.

7th grade students please start checking your google classrooms between 9-10am on Monday November 2nd for the days assignments.
Attention 7th grade basketball: There will be no practice or games for this week. The games will be rescheduled.
Recently, we were notified ( a student or staff member) that attends the Middle School has tested positive for COVID-19. Due to this exposure, the 7th Grade students will be learning remotely from home using their Google Classrooms the week of November 2nd-November 6th with an expected return to face to face instruction on November 9th. If your child was determined to be close contact, the Health Department will contact you with further information.
Friendly reminder: There is still time to support our school and bring new books home to kids. Shop our Online Book Fair to spread the joy of reading. Our Online Book Fair is still open until 11/1/2020.
