Good morning! We would to start this holiday weekend by sending out our congratulations to the MCC Upper Elementary Students' of the Month for May - 3rd grade: Tracy Slone, 4th grade: Easton Coon , and 5th grade: Kaylea Robotham! I would also like to mention the dates of the upcoming grade level end of the year field trips - 3rd grade is going to Lewis' Farms on June 6th and Ludington State Park on June 8th; and our 5th graders will be going to the Traverse City Pit Spitters baseball game on June 7th! Tonight is graduation for our seniors! The staff here would like them to know how proud we are of each and every one of them! Congratulations Class of 2023! Now through the last day of school, all items from the lost and found will be in our front hallway by the main entrance. If your child is missing any items, please come take a peek any school day from 7:45-8:10am or 3:10-3:30pm. After June 9th, all items in the lost and found will be donated.

As we get closer to summer we know parents are looking for activities for their kids. All events below are free!
AFFEW (A Few Friends for the Environment of the World) has 2 kids' events coming up. The bird hike is co-sponsored with the Sable Dunes Audubon Club. Another partner is MSU and Kendra Gibson, community nutrition instructor, is holding a program for kids ages 7-8 yrs of age. Each event is limited and requires advance registration. Mason County Central’s bond election is Tuesday, May 2. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voters are being asked to approve a 1.6 mills bond increase that will generate $31.54 million for school safety and security, along with building and infrastructure upgrades.
