Attention Mason County Central Families, there will be a Back to School Backpack Bonanza coming up on Wednesday August 2nd from 3:00 - 6:00 pm at the Ludington area Jaycee's Mini golf course. Enjoy free mini golf, face painting, balloon creations, and score a free backpack with back to school supplies. Event limited to the first 300 participants.

Yesterday was the 5th grade End of the Year field trip; they went to see the Traverse City Pit Spitters! In honor of Mr. Rybicki's retirement, he threw the FIRST PITCH of the game! Congratulations Mr. Rybicki for having an inspiring teaching career! We will all miss you!

The WSESD and the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee sponsored its 8th annual "Make a Difference" Awards at WSCC on Friday night, June 2.
This special event recognizes the outstanding people, agencies, and businesses throughout Lake, Mason, and Oceana County that have significantly and positively impacted the education and success of students with special needs.
We would like to send out a Huge Congratulations to MCC general education teachers Jon Hackney and Ron Tyndall who both teach in our Middle School. They were both recognized for their dedication and hard work and received engraved plaques at the event!


Here are some pictures of Mrs. Chalko's and Mrs. Pomorski's classes working together on a Home Depot project. Our 3rd grade and 5th grade classes have "Buddy Classes" this year! Good morning! We would to start this holiday weekend by sending out our congratulations to the MCC Upper Elementary Students' of the Month for May - 3rd grade: Tracy Slone, 4th grade: Easton Coon , and 5th grade: Kaylea Robotham! I would also like to mention the dates of the upcoming grade level end of the year field trips - 3rd grade is going to Lewis' Farms on June 6th and Ludington State Park on June 8th; and our 5th graders will be going to the Traverse City Pit Spitters baseball game on June 7th! Tonight is graduation for our seniors! The staff here would like them to know how proud we are of each and every one of them! Congratulations Class of 2023! Now through the last day of school, all items from the lost and found will be in our front hallway by the main entrance. If your child is missing any items, please come take a peek any school day from 7:45-8:10am or 3:10-3:30pm. After June 9th, all items in the lost and found will be donated.
