We are gearing up for the start of the school year here at Scottville Elementary and are so excited to see all of your smiling faces. Back to school letters will be mailed out on Tuesday August 22nd with teacher information as well as when back to school night will be (Tuesday August 29th 6-7pm) If you have not done so already, please make sure to log into your parent portal and fill out all the necessary forms for back to school as well as enrollment forms for our incoming kindergartners and brand new students, if these enrollment forms are not filled out it will delay class placement and your back to school letter. Our 2nd grade classes had an exciting visitor today. Mr. Griswold and his son Gavin came in to talk about bee's. All of the kids had so much fun! Thank you Mr. Griswold for taking time out of your day to come and educate our 2nd graders on bee's.

The WSESD and the Special Education Parent Advisory Committee sponsored its 8th annual "Make a Difference" Awards at WSCC on Friday night, June 2.
This special event recognizes the outstanding people, agencies, and businesses throughout Lake, Mason, and Oceana County that have significantly and positively impacted the education and success of students with special needs.
We would like to send out a Huge Congratulations to MCC general education teachers Jon Hackney and Ron Tyndall who both teach in our Middle School. They were both recognized for their dedication and hard work and received engraved plaques at the event!
