Dear MCC Scottville Elementary Parents- On April 8, portions of Eastern US and possible other areas will be along the path of a solar eclipse or have other solar eclipse experiences. This will be an experience that is supposed to occur during our regular school day afternoon and possible dismissal times. There will be some changes to the our end of day. Our Students will board the bus with their glasses on. While this is a rare and exciting phenomenon, it presents a risk of eye injury to everyone, especially children who may not understand the dangers of looking directly in the direction of the sun. Eclipse viewing glasses will be provided to students in Prek-8th grades at Mason County Central Schools. With the proper precautions, we know that the wonder of an eclipse will be a source of great inspiration and knowledge for our students for years to come.

The MCC Educational Foundation is so thankful to the many sponsors, donors, volunteers and committee members that helped make the 29th Annual Spring CommUNITY Auction such a success. We were thrilled to be back in person for the first time since 2020 and so happy to have so many community members join us! The list of supporters is impressive, and the Foundation sincerely hopes that community members will repay their generosity by patronizing our local businesses.
