Good Evening! Ms. Angie and I have organized a couple opportunities for families to register their children for Preschool and Kindergarten in the upcoming weeks. If you have already turned in a packet you're all set for now, if you have one to turn in, stop by and we'll get it processed for you. We'll have packets available for those that need one and a place for you to fill everything out. We plan on finalizing Kindergarten class lists for the fall following these events. Please check out the attached flyers for more information. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Hi Everyone, as we approach the last week of school we have scheduled a day for families to come up to the school for “curbside pick up” to get things their children left at school prior to the mandatory closing. This will be a little tricky as we will need to follow pretty strict safety guidelines that are required of schools to carry out this process. Here’s what we have planned: Friday, June 5th between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM at Scottville Elementary. Our teachers and office staff will be present to bring your child’s things out to you. If you’re unable to fit time in that day to pick everything up, you can send someone in your place. They will be asked who you/they’re picking items up for. Hi everyone, this week we'll be talking about giving back. When you have time please listen to this story, Ordinary Mary's Extraordinary Deed read by a group of children. As you listen, pay attention to the ways that people give back. Tomorrow, we'll talk about what it means to be generous and some of the things people did in the story. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sGCp04MBFrw

National Teacher Appreciation Week is celebrated May 4th through the end of this week. I'd like to extend a special thank you to our teachers at Scottville Elementary. They take on many roles each day, far beyond those of a teacher. They do so out of the love they have for children and because they want to make a difference for each one so they can go forth and achieve their dreams. I couldn't be more proud to be a Spartan! I also want to recognize others that work with our children at Scottville Elementary. Educating children takes a team of special people that also includes Student Success Specialists, Social Workers, Paraprofessionals, Office Staff, Custodians, Food Service Staff and Transportation Staff. Each of these groups has a special, important role in our children's lives each day. I’d like to thank these folks at Scottville Elementary for the passion each of them bring to school each day for teaching and learning. While learning looks much different at the moment, I'm so proud of the effort my school family has put into facing the challenges of distance learning to continue offering learning experiences for our young Spartans. Also, I want to extend a special thank you to those at home working with their children to ensure learning continues during this time we need to stay at home...we appreciate your efforts!

Good Afternoon Spartan families, please read this message to your children and watch this video with them when you have time today. "Hi boys and girls, we're all leaders for others in our lives and many times we don't even realize it. That younger brother or sister you think is trying to "bug" you is not usually the case, they look up to you and want to be with you, want to be like you and look to you as a leader. We also have leaders in our lives that we follow. We have been talking about leadership qualities this week. Let's start telling one another when we recognize members of our family making great choices, setting great examples and acting like great Spartan leaders!!! https://youtu.be/LtbWXEUuGZ4

Hi everyone, today we'll continue our discussion about leaders. We'll talk about the importance of choosing good leaders to follow and then the children can listen to scenarios and decide if the characters are acting as good leaders should or making poor choices as leaders. https://youtu.be/uFPktn6z9lo
