The weather outside is frightful, but the games were so delightful! (except for Monopoly, because, let's be real). 30 people attended Family Game Knights tonight! We played lots of games, won lots of door prizes, ate lots of pizza, and had even more fun! We rolled for initiative and got our games on despite the chill in air!
MCC Ski Club 2026 1st trip of the season to Crystal Mountain! We had a great time on the slopes!
The MCC counseling department talked about Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D) for our January Lunch 'n Learn. Thanks to our sponsors Alaskan Northern Lights and Daylight for donating some Sunlight Therapy Lamps! These lights help combat the 'Winter Blues!" Today, in Mr Weinert’s Anatomy Class, Meg Kopacki came in to talk about a career in Phlebotomy. Meg and her colleagues talked about the ins and outs of Phlebotomy along with taking questions from the students.
Today and tomorrow, Mrs. Rodriguez’s Children’s Literature classes are exploring the beloved children’s book “The Gruffalo” in our immersive classroom. Students are exploring techniques used by the author as well as connecting with their younger selves.

Dr. Rich Dallinger joined Mrs Nekola’s chemistry classes as they tested how well different solutions conducted electrcity.
In Mr Weinert’s Anatomy Class today, Zachery Webster a Physical Therapist in Ludington did a Google Meet. Dr. Webster talked about his career path and what he deals with on a regular basis. He then fielded questions from each of the students.

MCC jazz band performed Christmas tunes at our middle school, upper elementary, and Scottville elementary. An amazing group of musicians and well-behaved students in the crowd all day long! 💙 💛 🎄
Winter sports/club/organization recognition and Christmas assembly today at MCC. Merry Christmas to all Spartans current and alumni!
Today in Mr. Weinert‘s biology classes, students were working on the chemical formulas for photosynthesis and cellular respiration. The students had to organize numbers, letters and words to form the correct chemical formulas for both.
Chemistry students used straws and reaction plates to build models of various atomic trends.

This week, in Mr. Weinert’s biology class, students were studying cells. They made 3-D cells that show the inside of eukaryotic cells and their organelles. Later in the week, they made cell analogies with something in the real world.
